As a pre-view to the Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival - we’re having a group show of artists that will be in the MVFAF in September. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of my work will go to supporting the non-profit Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival. As the last remaining locally organized art show in Marin, we need to invest in keeping the MVFAF running.

This was an amazing show - felt like the first year “back to normal” after COVID and rain in the past years. Great to see everybody that came out!

Last year, I was introduced to a young family from San Rafael that has a singular mission. Their mission is to change the lives of people with a rare genetic disease called Usher Syndrome Type 1B. This devastating disease leads to the loss of both hearing and vision. Their deep passion for this mission comes from their daughter Lia who was diagnosed with Usher Syndrome Type 1B in 2018. From what I’ve seen, I know Justin and Rosalyn are going to make an impact on this disease.

I’ve donated two vases (and custom wood crates) for the silent auction at the Gift of Vision virtual fundraiser on December 3rd, 2020 at 6pm PST. I’ll be attending the event - looking forward to an appearance by Stephen Curry!

While the normal Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival is cancelled due to COVID19, we’re keeping the flame burning with “Beyond the Park” where 16 Mill Valley store fronts will display art work from local artists that would have been sharing their creations at the festival. We hope to share a little creativity with the community with the goal of brightening these odd days we’re living through.

My work is being displayed in the front window of Roja Rugs, 59 Throckmorton Ave, Mill Valley CA. I want to give a huge Thank You, to the Roja Rugs Guys for sharing their huge store front with me and being so easy to work with! Please come by to check out my ceramic creations and the amazing rugs!

Store front displays will be up for the month of September

In addition to the store front displays, wind chimes and creative adornments made by the MVFAF Committee will be on display Friday, Saturday and Sunday September 18th to 20th in Depot Plaza in downtown Mill Valley.

The Muir Beach Holiday Arts Fair has been a tradition at the Beach for over 40 years. Situated in the quaint hamlet of Muir Beach, along coastal CA Highway 1, between Mill Valley and Stinson Beach, the fair is held in the warm, rustic, welcoming Muir Beach Community Center overlooking stunning Muir Beach and the Pacific with San Francisco across the lovely expanse.

For 3 days the Marin Center will be turned into an Arts & Crafts Market --25,000 sq ft and 150 exhibits offering handcraft of design -- products devoted to traditional artistic forms and techniques –luminous color, careful detail, romantic symbolism, devotion to nature, and the rejection of soulless, mass-produced decorative arts.

Each artist, artisan, handcrafter, merchant, jewelery maker, designer, gemcutter, and beadmaker is juried on the orginality of their work. Many have spent over forty years reviving lost styles, using hand tools, techniques, and an imagination that brings life to comtemporary handcraft of design.

Come on out to see the Wheelhouse ceramic studio, have some food and drink and look for some unique holiday gifts. All 16 of the Wheelhouse potters will be there selling their work.

The Abrams Claghorn Gallery is celebrating the summer with local artists and craftspeople.  The fair will feature 20 different artists, vending a variety of fine and functional art including pottery, woodcraft, jewelry, art furniture, photography, textiles, fine art prints and more.  There will be live painting demos and you can get your portrait painted too.
